COST & BOOKING

The fees, listed below, cover all group teaching, concerts and activities at the Summer School. This year it is possible to stay at the school at which the Summer School will take place. This includes simple accommodation and all meals (but no extra drinks and snacks). There are therefore two sets of prices:

1) All the Summer School activities including accommodation and meals; and
2) All the Summer School activities, but excluding accommodation and meals.

The accommodation on site is from the 26th till Monday 31st July. The beds do not have linen nor bedding, so please bring your own sleeping bag or bedding.

For participants who wish to organise their own accommodation: a list of hotels etc. is available on the accommodation page.

Participants who register between 1st April and 15th May 2017 will obtain the early bird discount.

SHAKUHACHI INTRODUCTORY LEVEL

1 day on Saturday 29th July 2017 (3 hours): € 30

2 days on Saturday 29th + Sunday 30th July 2017 (6 hours total): € 50

Note: The introductory classes depend on number of interested participants. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at vejle2017[at]shakuhachisociety[dot]eu (Kiku Day) if there are questions regarding the introductory classes.


Summer School = all workshops, teaching, lectures & concerts entrance fees

Accommodation on site is in twin rooms (shared toilet and bath) – a few single rooms may be available but not guaranteed.

Meals means 3 meals a day. The catering is provided by a new innovating award-winning bakery/café in Vejle “Brød & co” (brød is bread in Danish). Their bread is 100% organic and made on sourdough, their food is made with mostly local organic products. You can see their website here: http://broed-co.dk

There is also the possibility of buying excellent and tasty draft beer from the local micro-brewery HumlepraXis for your meals:

Concession = full-time students, unemployed, and socially disadvantaged persons. Please provide proof of status (e.g. copy of student ID) when applying.

Becoming an ESS member not only helps the ESS to promote the shakuhachi but also saves you money!

Membership is €20 per year and members receive a discount on the fees for Summer Schools.

From this year we have the option of paying the fee via bank transfer. If you are transferring the money from outside the UK, please use the ESS Euro Bank Account information provided to make a bank transfer. Please select the option to pay all bank handling fees on your side so the ESS receives the full amount.

PAY PAL

You can pay the fee by PayPal if that is the best option for you. However, please add €10 / £ 9 to the fee as PayPal deducts this from the amount paid. If you do not add this fee, it will be payable in cash upon registration.

Please remember that:

You will be officially registered once your payment is completed. Payment must be made in full at the time you make your application. Any fees related to bank transfers must be paid by the participants; if such fees are nevertheless charged to ESS, they must be reimbursed to ESS in cash during registration at the event.

Cancellations requested before 12th July inclusive will receive a refund of the paid fee, less the cancellation fee of €30, via bank transfer from ESS. Unfortunately, we will not be able to refund fees for cancellations requested after 12th July.
